Property Planning

Create grazing circles on a map quickly and easily based on different climate and water planning scenarios.

A feature widely used by extensive land managers in northern Australia is the ability to create grazing circles on a map quickly and easily based on different climate and water planning scenarios. These show the areas available for grazing at varying distances from water points, and the change to grazing areas when water sources become dry as seasonal conditions change.

  • Calculate the net grazing area covered by current water infrastructure
  • Run improvement scenarios
  • Plan and cost new water

We were keen to use this data in a predictive (rather than just reactive) manner, to help site future water infrastructure and fencelines, identify land and vegetation types and even re-route drainage lines to reduce erosion and rehabilitate degraded land.
