Profile tool

Water infrastructure planning capabilities allow users to draw a proposed pipeline on the property map and immediately see an elevation profile of the planned course.

This provides a quick and accurate measurement of the amount of pipe needed. This information can then be presented to a rural supplier for accurate advice about suitable pipeline widths, quality and the need for features such as air release valves.

Once installed, existing pipelines can be plotted on the infrastructure layer map, with details such as pipe width recorded for future reference. For example, the user can search for and generate maps of specific features, such as all the two inch pipelines on the property.

We have also used the mapping and contour tools when putting in new water pipelines, to help determine the most appropriate route.
The seasonal timeline at end of growing season has also been useful to identify areas being over-grazed and those recovering well.
